Pastor John Lacy

Pastor John Lacy

Pastor John and his wife Michelle have served LivingWaters Church for many years.

John is a gifted communicator and worship leader, who uses his background in education to deliver Bible teaching in a relevant and applicable way. He believes that every person has a creative part to play in taking the Church outside of its confines, and giving it a voice and credibility in the community.

Michelle has a passion to see the 'family' grow in wholeness and works closely with John to fulfil the vision of LivingWaters Church.

Children & Youth

LivingWaters encourages children to discover Jesus in fresh and exciting ways. We place value on every child, seeking to continually engage them! Our Sunday programme involves 'LW Kidz', in which children from 4-11 years of age discover the Bible through a varied and energetic program. 'LW Tots' also operates for children aged 1 and over and provides creative play time and craft, enabling parents to take a well earned break! For parents with young babies we have a fully equipped baby room with feeding facilities and full changing areas.

Men & Women

LW:Men and LW:Women groups run throughout the the year. They are an opportunity to share life with friends from Church, and to take time to apply God's word to everyday situations. We would love for you to come along and get involved. You are more than welcome!

Give to the LORD the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come to worship him. Worship the LORD in all His holy splendour.

1 Chronicles 16:29

Each of us is designed with the ability to be creative. LivingWaters is a group of people who desire to express worship in creative and relevant ways, through media music and the arts.

We are passionate about worshipping God in every aspect of our lives and making choices that brings the love of Christ into our community.

Serving One Another

LivingWaters Church embraces the command of Jesus to serve the local community. People within the Church are encouraged to be the 'hands and feet' of Jesus Christ in a hurting world.

Over several years we have developed community projects which consistently touch the lives of those most in need within our locality.

Costwold House - Parker Street - The Bridge

Cotswold House is a place of refuge for broken families within Chorley. We seek to resource their work with welcome hampers to help get new residents up on their feet again. This team works in the background with the management staff of Costwold to ensure this runs smoothly.

Similar projects also happen at Parker Street and the Bridge; these are centres which provide accommodation for homeless teenagers. It is our desire to show the love of Jesus to these young people through words and actions, consistently throughout the year.

Mission

LivingWaters has always had, as part of its core foundations, a mission to be involved in reaching people overseas with the good news of Jesus Christ. Our aim is that local leaders are equipped to help reach their own communities. We currently work in partnership with indigenous people within Liberia (church planting and day schools), and in the Philippines. There are currently over 12 Churches associated with LivingWaters Ministries India and more recently within Zambia.

Street Pastors

Street Pastors is an inter-denominational church response to urban problems providing an opportunity for the Church to engage with people on the streets.

It was founded by Ascension Trust and pioneered in London in 2003 by Rev Les Isaac. Its goal is to be a positive influence on the streets of Chorley on Friday and Saturday nights.

Street Pastors involves churches working together within the area. We have worked closely with the Police and the Council to develop the scheme.
